Honolulu Talk Story Session, May 24th

We’re holding another of our talk story events in Honolulu on Saturday, May 24th from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. It will be at the Chow Offices (old Gold Bond building), 677 Ala Moana Blvd, Floor 2, Suite 226. Enter on the Keawe St. side where street parking is available.

We will provide a light lunch and drinks. All are invited to attend. If you have colleagues/friends/family that are interested, they are more than welcome to come (just let us know in advance so we can have enough lunch for all).

WHAT:

We will be talking about some of the changes that have happened in the 2014 legislative session, and we want to learn about your priorities for a dispensary system as we will be represented on the task force that will propose this legislation for the 2015 legislative session.

WHO:

Here are some of the people who will join us:

  • Michael Attocknie, The Executive Director of the Drug Policy Action Group as well as the Drug Policy Forum of Hawaii. Michael will be the Drug Policy Forum’s representative on the task force to propose legislation establishing a dispensary system. He wants to hear from you about what features would be important in a dispensary system.
  • Rafael Kennedy, The Field Organizer for the Drug Policy Action Group. He will introduce himself and learn what he can do to help ensure that the Medical Cannabis Coalition becomes a more powerful, helpful group in fighting for the rights of medical marijuana patients.

WHEN:

May 24th from 12:00 – 2:00pm.

WHERE:

677 Ala Moana Blvd, Floor 2, Suite 226. Enter on the Keawe St. side where street parking is available.

Thank you for taking the time to share your stories with us. Please RSVP if you can make it, so that we know how much lunch to provide.

If you can’t make it, but you would still like to speak with us, send us an email at info@mcchi.org, visit our website at http://mcchi.org, call us at 808-988-4386, or reach us on either facebook or twitter.

Please pass this invitation on to others who might be interested. Also, stay tuned as we will be holding more of these events in other parts of the state in the coming months!
